Lūznava Manor
The Luznava Manor is located in the Rezekne Municipality, 25 km from the administrative centre, and just 100 km from border with Russia. Built in 1911, the Manor is a very unusual example of romantic Art Nouveau building, surrounded by large park. Until 1915, the Luznava manor was a prominent cultural centre of Latgale.
During the WWI, WWII and the Soviet Rule, the luxuriant interior items and art works were destroyed and wasted, the nearby buildings as well as the landscape park – abandoned or demolished. Only in 1977, the building was awarded the status of an architectural monument of national importance.
Since 2015, Luznava manor is an inclusive cultural place for the community, tourism, business, a driving force in the regeneration of rural areas. During its renewed existence, the manor has successfully found its place both in the wide cultural offer of the Latgale region as a cultural venue for chamber concerts and summer festivals, and also in socially responsible development.
Creator of a co-created, inclusive society, social entrepreneurship and tourism-friendly environment in the eastern region of Latvia.
